Kate Washa Boyd was just like many of you. In December 2016 she was simultaneously studying for the NBCOT exam, job hunting, and searching for salary data for future negotiations. Specifically, salary info that was relevant to her particular circumstances: new grad, rural area, Western NC, and various settings from SNF to Inpatient rehab, to hospital based OP, depending on which employers were seeking candidates at the moment. Flexible data like this didn't exist.
That's when the OT Salary Survey and Data was born.
As someone who enjoys organizing and creating, and inexplicably... spreadsheets, Kate decided to create a salary survey that would allow the individual to view and compare salaries across different regions, practice settings, experience, and education levels. With the enthusiasm, support and participation of thousands of OT practitioners willing to support and grow this vision, we have been able to create a new, streamlined version to take in data for 2018.
